what am i doing?

the motto of PFChangs China Bistro... what am i doing?? i have this job as a server there at night so that i can meet agents, managers, go to auditions and fuel my career as an actor during the day. i've done tons of work, but nothing that's getting me any kind of SERIOUS recognition, which leads me to wonder... what is acting?? 95% of actors are actually servers or waiters so is "acting" pretending you like the table that you are serving?? pretending you give a rats ass about food that you've eaten so often, that you are now repulsed by the sight and smell of?? cuz if that's the case, i'm the best actor in the world.
